HCS Elementary Vice-Principal

And the successful candidate is...

Dear HCS Family,

I am pleased to announce that the successful candidate for our Elementary Vice-Principal is Mrs. Gayle Gregory.  She is currently teaching Kindergarten and Grade 3 and has experience in both campus and homeschooling as both a parent and teacher.  She has also taught at Vernon Christian and Kelowna Christian.

This process included applicants who were both internal and external applicants and I would like to take a moment to thank all applicants who put their names forward for selection.  It is no small feat to be willing to lead.  All applicants had great measure of leadership, passion, humility, and ferver to serve the students and families of HCS.  Again, I want to thank them.

Some of you may know Gayle while others of you may not.  Please let me articulate the qualities and characteristics that HCS knows to be true of Gayle.  She is:

  • an energetic teacher who has taught with excellence in her classroom roles at HCS
  • committed to being better and helping everyone around her grow
  • an inclusive collaborator and activator with high attention to detail
  • a rich connector and networker
  • dynamic, enthusiastic, and passionate
  • warm, friendly, and engaging

As a good friend of mine put it, Gayle also has the "Mom Factor: Moms take no breaks, can work with no sleep, no food, no pee breaks and like an ant, can lift 100x their weight.”

Finally, and most importantly, Gayle has a strong, vibrant, and contagious faith in Jesus.

Now that this key leadership position has been confirmed HCS can move forward in our planning for next year.  Steve Cox is eager to transition his 18 years of faithful service to the next people who will be taking on his portfolio of roles and responsibilities.  Please continue to pray for our leadership team as we act and plan accordingly as we move into next year.  I believe Jesus has great things in store for HCS.

Heritage family, please join me in celebrating Gayle as our next Elementary VP.

In Christ,

Paul Kelly
